Site Appraisals

We are well versed on planning for major commercial or residential development. If you’ve got an interest in developing land and would like to speak to an expert, we can help you unlock it’s potential.

Proposed Site Layout copy

We appraise the obstacles, opportunities and risks surrounding a property or land redevelopment.

Whether you are looking at minor extensions to dwellings, or securing a local allocation within a Neighbourhood Plan, our experienced team can help with all types of planning and site appraisals.

They’ll provide you with details and robust conclusions on your site’s planning history, physical characteristics and environmental constraints.

Typically, this is the first stage of ascertaining whether a site has any development prospects. This usually involves us conducting a site visit, which allows us to see the site and the surrounding area first hand. This is an indispensable tool in helping us to understand the site’s context, and any potential constraints.

A review of local and national planning policy also forms part of the initial appraisal stage, as all development proposals are assessed for compliance with the Development Plan upon submission of a pre-application enquiry, or full application, to the Council.

At the end of this stage, we can provide informal advice over the phone or an email, or formally present our findings and recommendations within a tailored report.
