Land promotion for Hallam Land Management

Marrons Planning successfully promoted a 25ha site through the Stratford on Avon Core Strategy (Local Plan) 2016 as a residential allocation for Hallam Land Management.

This was a greenfield site of circa 24.8ha to the south of the A425 adjacent to an existing residential area.

On the back of the draft allocation, Marrons was instructed to lead a consultant team in preparing an outline application for 535 homes, with a mix of house types, a convenience store, and associated infrastructure. A key objective was to integrate the site with the existing settlement and included improvements to an existing underpass and a new at grade pedestrian crossing.

The application was submitted in December 2015. Officers accepted this was a suitable location for residential development and recommended that planning permission be granted, subject to conditions and section 106 agreement. Planning committee members agreed and planning permission was secured in December 2016.
